I’m sorry for the personal moment, but you have to meet my twin niece and nephew, Maddie and Brady. If you ask me they’re the most beautiful children in the world. If you ask anyone else, well maybe you’ll get a different answer.

But that’s just because I dress them. And I live in Los Angeles and they live in Philadelphia out by the Main Line. That’s where the old money lives. Where they wear Polo and Ralph Lauren and little sweaters tied around their necks. But Maddie and Brady wear Hysteric Glamour smuggled back from Japan. And Maddie’s favorite t-shirt until she grew out of it was her Trunk AC / DC shirt.

Maddie has more Luella Bartley purses than Christina Aguilera. I know this because I sold Christina all of her Luella purses and I gave Maddie all of hers. I figure why not give her dead stock to play with?On this last trip to Japan it was time to break out the skinny pants. The twins are four and getting tall enough to wear some more grown up clothes. So I got Maddie the red Hysteric Glamour 1 1/2″ rise bright red skinny pants that say “love buzz” on the side with little hearts all around. Luckily she’s skinny and all legs so she can pull them off. Brady got the distressed “lady killer” jeans with studs on the pockets.

Maddie also loves sunglasses.

Anyway, with me dressing the twins - when Brady was 3 I actually found him a maroon polyester tuxedo with tails and matching bow tie and my sister sent him to day care wearing it.

As I said, with me dressing the twins, the local mothers are horrified by what they show up at school wearing. They never know what crazy thing will appear next.

I’m not out of control. I stay within my budget. But when I find something truly fantastic - like last week I found a Sears & Roebuck vintage brown shirt for $1 at a thrift store that just screamed Brady - I pick it up.

You gotta help your sister out. Especially when she lives in the world of collar shirts and penny loafers.
